Principal Functions/Responsibilities:

  • Works to develop and maintain effective working relationships with stores through communication and responsiveness.

  • Works directly with the Landscape Supervisor to maintain and improve landscape conditions at assigned locations.

  • Responsible for meeting productivity objectives and managing time effectively.

  • Follows safe work practices.

  • Performs landscape services at assigned store locations including:

  • Gather and remove litter

  • Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge trimmers or axes

  • Operate powered equipment, such as mowers, blowers, chainsaws, line trimmers, lawn mowers

  • Mix and spray or spread fertilizers and herbicides using hand or automatic sprayers or spreaders

  • Care for established lawns by mulching, aerating, weeding, removing thatch, trimming, and/or edging around flower beds, walks, or walls

  • Mow and edge lawns, using power mowers and edgers

  • Rake, mulch, and compost leaves

  • Use irrigation methods to adjust the amount of water consumption and to prevent waste

  • Maintain irrigation systems, including winterizing the systems and starting them up in spring

  • Shovel snow from walkways, driveways and parking lots at assigned locations

  • Inspects vehicles, trailers, and landscape equipment to determine need for maintenance or repair

Qualifications:

  • Knowledge and experience operating both hand and mechanical equipment necessary for the job

  • Maintains effective working relationships with customers and co-workers and a strong desire to surpass expectations

  • Is organized and meets deadlines

  • Punctual and has regular attendance

Must be available to work day shift start time between 6am and 8am, finishing between 2:30pm and 3:30pm
