Inventory Assistant (part-time)
Cape Cod Veterinary Specialists is looking for a part-time inventory assistant to work with the inventory management team through the summer.
About this role
The CCVS Inventory Team works closely with medical teams to manage inventory needs and maintain necessary items, medications, and equipment that enable the hospital to remain fully operational. As an integral member, the inventory assistant is key to streamlining and leveraging the inventory managers across two facilities. This position is in our Buzzards Bay location.
Responsibilities
Unpack and distribute incoming shipments
Inspect shipment items as they arrive
Check that incoming shipments contain all ordered items
Report damaged or missing items
Maintaining the organization and cleanliness of inventory in the stockroom
Schedule, and Benefits Include (but are not limited to)
Schedule: Tentatively, the schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday. The hours are afternoon or evening, following training.
The initial training schedule will differ.
Uniform allowance
Full-time Veterinary Social Worker on site for employees and clients and a Company Sponsored EAP
Required Qualifications
You must have at least eight weeks available over the summer for this position.
High school diploma or equivalent
Must possess a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Excellent clear communication skills with the ability to work independently and to accept direction on various assignments
Basic computer and math skills
Must be professional, organized, and a team player
Physically capable of lifting 50 pounds unassisted
Ability to perform moderate physical labor.
