Our Opportunity:

Chewy is currently recruiting for a Seasonal Human Resources Specialist for our Fulfillment Center in Ocala, FL. This position is responsible for providing support and analysis on issues, reports and trends from the time and attendance tools.

What You'll Do:

  • Performs various duties necessary for the overall Time and Attendance (Tu0026amp;A) system configuration, administration and maintenance.

  • Oversees and maintains the Tu0026amp;A system for all setups, reporting, auditing and functionality for employees, managers, agency and contract staff.

  • Collaborates Chewy's payroll team on system upgrades, testing and enhancements. Performs a variety of duties necessary for the overall processing on the Payroll system for Chewy.

  • Respond to employee and management questions and concerns regarding paychecks, time reporting and pay policies.

What You'll Need:

  • Minimum four years of experience supporting an automated Tu0026amp;A system and payroll operations required

  • Experience with set-up and maintenance, ad-hoc reporting and supporting IT and HR Upgrade Implementation Teams

  • Knowledge of and experience with E.E.O., Wage and Hour, and other state and federal regulations in relation to the payroll process


  • Kronos T u0026amp; A systems experience strongly preferred

  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, etc.)

Work is performed under the direct supervision of the Human Resources Administrator. Examples of Duties: Correspondence: Prepares memos, letters, forms, statements, reports and correspondence on a variety of subjects from simple to complex or technical confidential matters. Customer Service: Communicates clearly and courteously to deal with people by phone, in person, and in writing. Assists in answering telephones, handling complaints, answering questions, screening calls, taking messages, routing calls. Processes Applicants: Processes I-9's and W-4's. Prepares and processes required new hire paperwork, enters into the HRIS system and establishes a personnel file. Initiates and monitors the progress of new hire background checks. Licenses/Certificates: Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Operators Driver's License with an acceptable driving record. Supplemental Information: Must be skilled in the use of various office equipment and general office skills must be at an advanced level. Must have strong working knowledge of computers. Ability to accurately type memos, complex documents, and business letters. Must be knowledgeable in advanced business English, spelling, and punctuation. Must have knowledge of basic and business math to process and maintain complex records. Must be able to work independently and maintain confidential information. Must be able to handle multiple deadlines, work under pressure and remain calm in stressful situations. Must have the ability to compile, research, prioritize and analyze data.
