The Cadet travels via Geekmobile from the precinct to our client's home and assists with the delivery and basic installation of technology products alongside a seasoned Agent. They provide our clients service that exceeds expectations by handling appointments with care, asking the right questions to enhance the client experience, and providing prompt follow up of recommendations as well as solutions. Key Responsibilities

  • Helps drive a positive customer experience by building relationships, exhibiting empathy, and providing solutions to their needs.

  • Performs a variety of fulfillment duties for clients in their homes including delivery, installation, and networking with a primary focus on Home Theater technology.

  • Maintains phone and in-person contact with clients to reveal diagnostic discoveries and make recommendations for protecting their devices.

  • Provides timely updates to the client and store precincts.

  • Responsibly manages inventory and Geekmobile maintenance.

  • Provides feedback and training to store teams as well as assists with in-store stock repairs.

  • Supports Geek Squad efforts to protect the world one device at a time.

Basic Qualifications

  • Current, valid driver's license

  • Have and maintain a driving record which meets Best Buy safety standards (e.g. minimal number of violations/accidents, etc.)

  • Ability to consistently lift/carry/maneuver products weighing 75lbs+ individually, or 150lbs+ as a team (support tools such as a harness, dolly, and/or lift may be provided as applicable for the type of work being performed)

  • Be at least 21 years of age

  • Acquire and maintain any state or local licensing, as required, within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience actively using and learning about technology products

  • Previous experience in sales, delivery, installation, and/or repair

  • Previous experience in Customer Service

We prefer Contractors to be available to work a minimum of ten hours per week where work is available. <strong>Successful candidate must be willing to travel within a 35-50 mile radius from city location.  </strong><strong>Geographic Location:</strong> State College, PA<strong>Job Duties and Responsibilities:  </strong><ul><li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Conduct federal background investigations in compliance with all laws, and other required federal agency regulations.</li><li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Conduct in-person, one-on-one subject interviews to obtain factual information about the individual's background and character, in accordance with agency guidelines and instructions.</li><li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Obtain factual information from a variety of personal and record sources to produce a report of investigation, containing all pertinent facts, of an individual's background and character, in accordance with agency guidelines and instructions.</li><li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Travel throughout the geographic area of responsibility to conduct investigations at various places of employment, residence, and education institutions when cases become available.</li><li style="padding: 0; margin: 0;">Engage in dialogue on a regular basis with managers and representatives at contractor facilities, various U. S.
