Are you looking for a summer or seasonal position, with potential growth opportunity? If so, join the Club! We are seeking a Seasonal Groundskeeper/Building Technician to assist at our high-end community in Troy and garden style community in Shelby Twp.


The Groundskeeper position is primarily responsible for maintaining the physical condition of the property and grounds. The right person is an outdoor enthusiast, not afraid to get their hands dirty and enjoys being working with a team. They should also display a proactive attitude and be willing to assist in other minor maintenance projects. This role also assesses and makes recommendations to the Chief Engineer regarding curb appeal and asset preservation.


  • Interacts amicably with residents, with a service-minded attitude to identify and address needs or concerns regarding the condition of exterior and interior building areas;

  • Uses discretion and maintains confidentiality of co-workers, management, owners, past and current residents, vendors, and all outside contacts;

  • Ensures that all interior and exterior areas of the property are litter free, clean and presentable;

  • Works with the Chief Engineer to follow the Preventive Maintenance Program guidelines;

  • Performs work to maintain curb appeal standards for grounds and landscaping, exterior and interior illumination, pool and spa, water features; and ensures high traffic areas are in excellent condition;

  • Participates in snow removal per community requirements, not limited to snow shoveling, snow blowing and de-icing walkways;

  • Performs general maintenance work on vacated apartments to prepare them for the next resident, which may include: painting, cleaning, and minor maintenance items;

Other duties may be assigned.<a rel="nofollow noreferrer noopener" class="external"></a></p> <ul> <li><strong>Responsible for maintaining all areas of the building.</strong></li> <li><strong>Ability to communicate effectively &amp; professionally with teammates in a work environment</strong></li> </ul> <p><strong>DUTIES:</strong></p> <ul> <li> <strong>Primary -</strong> Building Maintenance Duties:<ul> <li>General handyman duties; replacing light bulbs, addressing HVAC issues, patch/painting, manage contractors performing work onsite, monitor grounds maintenance, etc. Bathroom and cafeteria maintenance; such as cleaning and/or replacing refrigerator &amp; ice maker filters. Work with vendors on annual maintenance needs; i.e. fire/safety company, etc. Clean out gutters on roof, as needed. Company meeting set up/tear down as needed. Communicate any issues to Facilities Manager to address as needed. </li> </ul> </li> </ul> <ul> <li> <strong>Primary</strong> - Courier/Internal Office Duties:<ul> <li>Run miscellaneous errands, as needed. Deliver photocopy paper to the various departments and fill printing stations with paper.
