You share exemplary product knowledge in every guest interaction, through education on special features, benefits, fabric properties, usage and care instructions in a way that is relevant to each unique guest, and you collect design feedback to continually elevate lululemon product design. You leverage product resources to elevate technical product knowledge, and you share your knowledge with other members of the team to elevate the level of technical education on the floor every day.

a day in the life:

  • You create relationships with every guest to create excitement and fun about our culture, product and community, and you go above and beyond to exceed their expectations

  • You are knowledgeable and up to date on company communication, priorities, roll-outs and any additional information required by the Store Manager; you educate on guest-facing initiatives on the retail floor

  • You receive and process stock, involving: unpacking, counting, tagging as required, folding, sizing and placing on the floor, with overflow stock in back room and stored areas

  • You unpack boxes for inventory as required (boxes can weigh 5 - 30 lbs)

  • You are responsible for inventory management including receiving, processing, restocking + destocking, and visual merchandising

  • You assist in preparing the store for the day including: replenishing garment styles and other merchandise by color, size, and quantity requirements; folding, sizing, merchandising and changing mannequins as needed to maximize sell-through

  • You answer store phones and respond to voicemails and store email account as needed

  • You ensure items from fit rooms are cleaned, organized and returned to appropriate area

  • You prepare garments for hemming including pinning, completing necessary documentation (guest/store hemming slip); and educating regarding timelines for completion as well as preparing garments for guest pickup and/or shipping

  • You arrange shipping from store to guests, stores and warehouse as needed

  • You assist in closing the store for the day including: sizing, cleaning, collecting and removing trash and recycling and other duties as needed

  • You utilize Point of Sale system to accurately and efficiently process guest transactions; payments, refunds/exchanges and gift cards

  • You use hand held mobile devices to access and order product for our guests from our distribution and ecommerce channels

  • You are aware of company safety policies and procedures and you work in partnership with your team to ensure a safe workplace

  • You educate on your local community programs including local studios, instructors and events

  • You demonstrate exemplary community education in every guest interaction and you explain the "why" behind events/experiences and enroll guests in attending them

  • You facilitate relationships with sweat influencers in your store's community by enrolling relevant guests in our Sweat Collective program and gathering product feedback

  • You know all current ambassadors by name and expertise and you facilitate the introduction of ambassadors to the team and other leaders in the community

  • Under the direction of the Store Manager/Assistant Manager/Key Leader, you perform/complete other additional projects, duties, and assignments as required and/or by request

  • All employees' availability must reflect the needs of the business, which may change from time to time. The Store Manager determines the availability needs, and this schedule could include a combination of shift times, including mornings, evenings, and weekends

  • lululemon reserves the right to make amendments to the schedule and/ or availability requirements from time to time and at its sole discretion

  • All employees are expected to be available to work "Black Friday" (the day after US Thanksgiving) and from the second week of December (the start of the second week in period 11) until the end of the holiday season, to be defined each year based in part on the time period guests are permitted to return holiday merchandise, on an annual basis

  • Applicants are a minimum of 18 years of age

VIEW JOBS 10/25/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-01-23T00:00 Responsible for the safety and well-being of the Barbara and Jack Kay Early Childhood Learning Center (ECLC) children at all times.The Lead Teacher will also implement age and developmentally appropriate activities for the ECLC children and follow the curriculum provided by the ECLC Director of Early Childhood and the Curriculum Specialist.Teachers play a key role, setting the tone by valuing each child and family as individuals. They have the educational qualifications, dispositions, knowledge, dedication to learning, and professional commitment necessary to promote children and their families as they learn and develop. Teachers work together with their teaching team to develop, implement, and evaluate the classroom pedagogy, to provide a quality educational program reflecting the goals and values of the school. Teachers monitor the development and learning of the children and partner with families in sharing this information. Teachers also supervise and provide guidance to Assistant Teachers, Substitutes and classroom volunteers.Work is supervised on a limited basis, as necessary, and reports directly to the Director of Early Childhood.Work schedule is generally 40 hours during each work week Monday - Friday, during the months of August - June each school year. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Plans and executes a program of developmentally appropriate early childhood education experiences including art, music, movement, math, science and language, with an emphasis on implementing the Mandel JCC Jewish Curriculum; * Provides and supervises activities which promote the emotional, social, intellectual and physical development of each child; * Provides and maintains a neat, organized classroom, with a learning center focus ensuring classroom is set up prior to arrival and cleaned up after dismissal daily; take responsibility for upkeep of all educational equipment and materials; * Attends to children's play, engages in reflection and discussion about children's growth and learning, respond to children's play themes and developmental themes; * Documents children's play and learning, including daily reflections, journey binders, blog, newsletters and other vehicles implemented by the school; responsible for preparing weekly reports of classroom activities to include pictures, artwork, writing, etc. in a timely manner; * Reads each individual child's files in his/her class and is knowledgeable about their medical and developmental histories; * Provides an environment of acceptance in which children can grow with a positive self-concept; * Assists children in all ways possible ensuring good hygiene, health and safety practices, especially in the event of an emergency; * Attends to children's physical and emotional safety by providing a warm, safe, and caring environment that is kept orderly, clean, and appealing. The environment should allow the child to grow and explore; * Nurtures physical, spiritual, emotional, social, cognitive and literary growth and development of each child; * Maintains ongoing developmental records for each child, including keeping records of all developing skills (physical, spiritual, social, emotional, cognitive and literary); * Monitors growth and development of each child and communicate progress and concerns with parents and Director of Early Childhood; * Greets each child and parent warmly and in a friendly manner each morning upon arrival; * Performs frequent head counts of children, particularly when en route from one activity to the next; assist in the arrival and dismissal of children; * Maintains confidentiality regarding children and families; Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc. (internet social media personal accounts) may not contain information or pictures about children at the Mandel JCC, the Mandel JCC, or work related issues with other staff of the Mandel JCC. * Fosters and develops the teaching and leadership ability of your colleagues finding ways to make their jobs as rewarding and stimulating as possible; making your expectations clear, following through to see that expectations are met and that you are utilizing their abilities and input; * Collaborates with other teaching staff to create a learning community; work with and nurture assistant teacher(s) to ensure the classroom is well managed; * Maintains a folder with lesson plans and information about the classroom children for substitutes; * Supervises all activities to insure safety of each child at all times, complete accurate reporting (accident, incident or illness reports, medication administration, identification checks, individual child meals and diaper record keeping when applicable) and communicate information to Director or Leadership Team immediately; * Responds to telephone calls within 24 hours; * Ensures classroom is set up prior to arrival and classroom is cleaned after dismissal daily; * Cares for classroom environment and aesthetics; maintains cleanliness in staff lounge and restrooms; * Provides overall supervision of toileting and bathroom time; ability to change diapers if necessary; * Ability to resolve conflicts fairly and effectively, address negative behavior appropriately according to agency policies; * Responsible for recording and reporting to Director child observations; * Required to work the days and hours to perform all assigned responsibilities and tasks, and be punctual and timely in meeting all performance requirements, including but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines. Minimum Qualifications: MINIMUM POSITION REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Child Development, Psychology, or Sociology; or Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development; or Child Developmental Associate Credential (CDA) preferred. Employees who do not hold these credentials may be asked to pursue extensive education in the field of education or a related field; * Graduate degree in a child related field, a minimum three (3) years' experience in group education of children, Jewish education and observance, familiarity with community resources; * Department of Children and Families approved 45-clock-hour introductory course in child care or the educational exemption granted by the training coordinating agencies, when applicable; * Meet Florida Department of Health requirements for teaching in an Early Childhood Learning Center; * CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to acquire it; * Knowledgeable of Palm Beach County Health Department rules and regulations governing child care facilities; * Working knowledge of the growth and development of young children and ability to utilize this information in the classroom. Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to work constructively with children and adults. * Ability to supervise teacher assistants, support staff, substitutes, volunteers and utilize their skills and abilities working as a teaching team; * Judaic knowledge or willingness to acquire this knowledge through study; * Ability to relate to young children and adults in an emotionally responsive manner; * Be sensitive to individual children's differences and needs, and be willing to adjust the program to meet those individual needs; * Competent in various skill areas such as music, art, science, literacy, mathematics, language development and physical development; * Competent in various skill areas such as planning, scheduling, record keeping, classroom environmental design and arrangement, classroom management, physical safety of children, and staff and parent communication; * Be motivated to learn and grow in an educational environment and be willing to continually increase knowledge in the field of Early Childhood Education, including collaboration with specialists , coaches and consultants; * Be willing to work in a team environment; willing to collaborate with colleagues and members of the community. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Young children are very active and move constantly throughout their day. To teach young children effectively and keep them safe the teacher must be physically able to keep up with children. Tasks involve the ability to exert moderate physical effort which may involve some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling of moderate weight (up to 35 pounds), bending, stooping, stretching, squatting and sitting. * Must possess strength and endurance required to maintain constant supervision of children; * Must be able to run to reach a child quickly, protect a child during an emergency; participate in physical play with children to keep them engaged; * Must be able to sit on the floor to interact with children on their level.Because young children play on the floor, explore and change activities frequently teachers must be physically able to sit on the floor, get off the floor and sit back down easily; * Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds to move a child during an emergency, lift or carry a child to quiet areas during outbursts; * Must have visual and auditory ability to keep track of multiple children and to identify and respond to environmental and other hazards related to activities; * Effective and clear communication is essential between the children and staff; * Must utilize naptime for preschool work, not personal business. Acceptable activities for staff working during naptime in the classroom while children are sleeping include: Newsletters, changing bulletin boards, cleaning countertops, toys, etc. Unacceptable activities for staff during this time include: Sleeping, dozing, meditating, use of personal data devices (including, but not limited to, texting, Facebook, twitter, etc.), and reading (Early Childhood Education (ECE) related reading acceptable) etc.NO NON EMERGENCY CELL PHONE USAGE (including texting & games) during work hours. * Follow personnel policies of the Mandel JCC and represent the Mandel JCC as a professional educator maintaining a professional demeanor, neat and clean appearance; * Maintain scheduled hours in a timely manner; notify preschool office in the event of absence. * Submit all necessary forms and certificates related to licensing requirements in advance of the school year and on demand. * Noise level can be moderate to loud; * Frequent exposure to outside elements, such as sun exposure, heat, humidity and rain.
