Position Type: Part-Time

Average Hours: Less than 25 hours/week

Starting Wage: $13.50/hour plus a pay increase after the sixth month of employment

Duties and Responsibilities:

Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.

  • Adheres to the company's customer satisfaction guidelines and demonstrates appropriate interactions with customers and co-workers.

  • Assists customers with problems or concerns, and contacts store management as appropriate regarding customers with problems or concerns.

  • Provides feedback to store management on all products, including recommending new items to carry, products that should be discontinued, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues that could impact productivity.

  • Supports store management in providing a safe environment for fellow employees, customers, and vendors by identifying and rectifying hazards and/or equipment in need of maintenance.

  • Assists store management in achieving store payroll and total loss goals.

  • Adheres to inventory procedures and product handling guidelines.

  • Adheres to cash policies and procedures to minimize losses.

  • Complies with all other established company policies and procedures.

  • Processes customer purchases, performs general cleaning duties, and returns misplaced items to shelves.

  • Collaborates with team members and communicates relevant information to direct leader.

  • Upholds the security and confidentiality of documents and data within area of responsibility.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

  • Prior work experience in a retail environment preferred.

  • A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge.

VIEW JOBS 4/1/2020 12:00:00 AM 2020-06-30T00:00 Title: Seasonal Warehouse Specialist - Perishable Foods Status: Seasonal-Full-Time, Non-Exempt, April-September 7:30 -4pm or 8-4:30p* Reporting Relationship: Reports to Perishable Foods Manager Direct Reports: None Summary: Responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks associated with the receiving, loading, storage, staging, distribution and proper handling of perishable food products. Primary Duties: * Perform a variety of general duties including picking/packing, loading/unloading and proper storage and distribution of perishable food products (frozen, refrigerated and fresh foods) to our partner agencies. * Loads orders onto both MOF and contract carrier trucks for delivery to partner agencies. Responsible for completion of paperwork, shrink wrapping, and labeling pallets for delivery. * Receive perishable food products including quality inspections, unloading trucks, receiving paperwork, labeling, product cycling and storage. * Proper handling and storage of all donated retail perishable products. * Restock perishable food into inventory when orders are cancelled. * Ensure that first in first out (FIFO) or first expired first out (FEFO) methodology is used in accordance with quality standards. * Maintains cleanliness and sanitation of food distribution and warehouse areas. * Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following safety practices and policies. * Partners with the Freezer Inventory Specialist with inventory functions (replenishment, cycle counts, receiving frozen and refrigerated products). * Participates in special projects and performs other duties at the request of the Perishable Foods Manager. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High School Diploma or GED required Experience: Minimum of one year of warehouse experience including use of forklift (propane and electric), electric pallet jacks/riders (4ft and 8ft) is required. Previous experience using a cherry picker is strongly preferred. Knowledge: Working knowledge of general warehouse machinery and operations. Knowledge of quality control practices and procedures. Skills/Competencies: Good math skills. Good customer service skills. Ability to work effectively and efficiently both independently and in a team environment. JOB CONDITIONS: Working Conditions: Warehouse environment. Safety sensitive position due to regular interaction with heavy machinery. Must be able to: perform moderate to heavy physical labor (lift 30 lbs. frequently and 50 lbs. occasionally). Daily walking, bending, reaching, pushing and pulling (300 lbs. with use of manual pallet jack.) Frequent standing, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching. Must work in sub-freezing temperatures for extended periods of time. Some night and weekend work required.
