A role within External Audit services, will provide you with the opportunity to provide a range of Assurance services and business advice to a variety of clients from small, fast growing clients to large entities. Our clients are often well known brands and many have broad international reach.

CPA license. International hires or hires from a PwC affiliate firm to have obtained the equivalent accounting credential in selected individual's home country.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates thorough knowledge and/or a proven record of success of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the United States (U.S. GAAP), United States Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (U.S. GAAS) and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB) standards, emphasizing an overall extensive understanding - for the respective industry - of the applicable business and accounting issues, and technical accounting and financial reporting standards.

Demonstrates thorough abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader and team member in a professional services consulting firm including the following areas:

Whole Leadership: using feedback and reflection to develop my self awareness, personal strengths and address development areas; delegating to others to provide stretch opportunities and coaching to help deliver results; and, proactively raising issues to improve effective team working.

Global Acumen: facilitating collaboration across virtual teams (utilizing appropriate technology as applicable); and, building and maintaining a professional internal and external network.

Relationships: using straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing others; reading situations and being sensitive to others, modifying my behavior to build quality, diverse relationships; and, communicating with my clients, regularly updating them and sharing progress.

Business Acumen: learning about my clients' businesses and how they operate in the industry/marketplace, trying out new ideas and proposing innovative solutions to problems; and, gathering information from a range of sources when analyzing and solving complex problems.

Technical Capabilities: testing my own and others' work for quality, accuracy and relevance; making the most of opportunities for technical development through on the job learning and exposure; and, sharing relevant thought leadership with my colleagues to enhance knowledge.

Experimentation with automation & digitization in a professional services environment including but not limited to: innovating through new and existing technologies, along with experimenting with digitization solutions; and, working with large, complex data sets to build models and leverage data visualization tools.

The Role: The Senior Manager, Consumer PR works closely with and reports to the Director of Consumer PR & Social Media on communications strategy for the US. This role will be focused on helping manage consumer PR activities for Roku streaming players and audio products to drive awareness during the holiday season. This role is based at Roku's San Jose, California office and includes a free shuttle from the nearby train stations. Responsibilities: * Assist in executing U.S. Roku streaming player and audio product PR strategy and programs * Work closely with the PR agency to develop and support PR programs and deliver stellar results * As needed, guide others in the organization towards successful outcomes for consumer PR * Seed members of the media and bloggers with Roku products * Draft and manage approvals for press releases, media alerts, blog posts, and develop and acquire other materials and assets such as photos, video and b-roll as needed * Drive creative consumer PR campaigns and events that excite Roku followers and gain interest from potential consumers * Bring new and grow relationships with consumer and lifestyle media and influencers, bringing new opportunities to the company * Collaborate closely with other members of the Communications team for a highly collaborative and effective Global PR plan * Stay on top of TV trends and quickly adapt plans to tap into pop culture moments * Communicate knowledgably about the Roku streaming platform and Roku products – including a firm grasp of key partners and their content Experience/Qualifications: * 7-10 years in (ideally a combination in-house and PR firm) with at least two-three years of experience working with consumer tech or entertainment – this experience is a necessity and candidates without it won't be considered * Slightly technical in nature with a fondness for gadgets and gizmos * Experience translating creative ideas into successful campaigns, as well as connecting brands with influencers and trending themes * Ability to understand Roku's business, marketing and communications objectives and translate into successes * Positive and collaborative personality; a commitment to ensuring all activities undertaken are as successful as possible * Excellent communications skills and exemplary writing ability * Good judgment particularly in high pressure times * Able to independently structure and manage workflow and priorities * Knowledge of social media best practices * A keen sense of what's popular and buzz-worthy when it comes to pop culture of TV and entertainment * College degree in a related field #LI-MR1 Roku San Jose CA
