  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment

  • Strong computer skills (MS Office, Outlook, etc.) and aptitude to learning new applications

Milwaukee Magazine, one of the nation's most respected city and regional magazines, is searching for an Administrative Assistant to perform a variety of office management and workflow maintenance tasks. Duties of this position include providing support to our managers and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our company's general administrative activities. This is a part-time, permanent position. Responsibilities * Answer and direct phone calls and emails and monitor customer service inquiries. * Collect and distribute mail, fulfill orders, organize inventory. * Assist in the preparation of regularly scheduled reports and workflow documents. * Update and maintain office policies and procedures. * Order office supplies, keep workplace tidy and organized. * Submit and reconcile invoices and expenses. Process bills, manage purchase orders and act as chief liaison between accounts payable, staff and vendors. * Greet visitors in a professional manner. * Act as the point of contact for internal and external communication with third party vendors, corporate headquarters, staff and management. * Assist with marketing campaigns including posting content, developing lead lists and monitoring performance. Requirements/Qualifications * Knowledge of office management systems and procedures. * Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers, archives and database systems. * Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, MS Outlook in particular) and the Internet. * Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work. * Attention to detail and problem solving skills. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills. * Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task. * High School degree; previous experience as an Administrative Assistant will be a plus. * General knowledge of magazines, subscriptions and the media industry preferred.
