Samaritans Purse is looking for experienced administrative assistants who are passionate about the proclamation of the gospel to join our Operation Christmas Child Processing Center Team!
A Day in the Life of an OCC Processing Center Administrative Assistant
At Samaritans Purse, the gospel is the center of all that we do! Serve as an OCC Processing Center Administrative Assistant and you will have the opportunity to:
Work as an integral part of a team taking the gospel to children all around the world
Manage the OCC volunteer database and registration process
Perform a wide variety of in-season administrative tasks
Answer and direct incoming ministry phone calls
Serve as the main point of contact for volunteer inquiries and updates
Maintain relationships with ministry partners
Order and organize management staff meals
This is a full-time (40+ hours per week including some Saturdays) seasonal commitment that runs from September through December. Applicants must be at least 18 years of age, possess administrative experience, and have a heart to serve in a hands-on ministry. Screening requirements include skills testing, a social media review, pastoral and professional references, and a criminal background check (upon acceptance of offer).
Desired Skills
Attention to detail and high level of organization
Proficient with Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
Volunteer management experience
Excellent over-the-phone customer service skills
Able to lift and move 25 lbs.
Experience working in a fast-paced environment
