Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience

  • 8 years of experience in digital media, sales, marketing, or product roles.

  • Experience identifying and recommending ways to improve product and customer strategy.

  • Experience working with digital organizations.

  • Experience with search advertising, Search Engine Marketing (SEM), or shopping ads.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience coaching advertisers in the use of the Google Ads, Google Shopping or Search Ads 360 platforms.

  • Experience working with large, complex and sophisticated digital organizations.

  • Ability to provide thought leadership and effectively lead discussions at C-level/Director level.

  • Ability to deliver insights from data that creates business value and drives client action.

  • Demonstrated success with solution-based selling.

The Search Solutions team makes the difference by shaping the future of Search and Commerce for our largest advertisers. We partner with the biggest advertisers in the Retail space. Our aim is to ensure that they have the right Strategy to deliver Search and Shopping campaigns that drive real, measurable business outcomes.

The Modern Search team is a critical link between Product and Sales at Google. We combine our deep knowledge of the Search platform and thought leadership on product innovation into custom client solutions that enable our advertisers to get the most out of their spend with Google. We are passionate about all things Search, and want to shape the ever-changing world of online advertising.

Our Large Customer Sales teams partner closely with many of the world's biggest advertisers and agencies to develop digital solutions that build businesses and brands. We enjoy a bird's eye view on the massive transformation occurring as advertising shifts to mobile and online platforms. We're uniquely situated to help shape how companies grow their businesses in the digital age. We advise clients on Google's broad range of products across search, video and mobile to help them connect instantly and seamlessly with their audiences.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $114,000-$169,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities

  • Translate customer overarching business objectives and more granular marketing objectives into Search-specific advertising strategies.

  • Establish strong 1:1 partnerships with Sales and other Specialist teams to proactively identify, prioritize, and pursue Search opportunities.

  • Lead conversations across all aspects of Search (e.g., advancing customer adoption of automation, omni-bidding, budgets, coverage, creative excellence, and audiences).

  • Provide feedback to our product management and technical support organizations to influence feature prioritization and issue resolution to enable customer success.

  • Utilize expertise to help Search specialists and Sales teams.
