The Seamstress is responsible for following standard operating procedures for sewing products.

Exempt/Non-Exempt Non-Exempt Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Location Exploring Graphics Position Requirements

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Follow shop S.O.P.'s

• Proofread and compare all proofs to their matching substrate for quality and quantity

• Prep materials for sewing

• Measure, pin and mark materials for cutting and accurately fold or roll various materials

• Cut with scissors, hot knife, and rotary blade

• Lift up to 50lb

• Apply the applicable finishes to products as instructed

• Build / put together frames to test-fit fabric products

Qualifications and Education Requirements

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent

• Must be able to read and comprehend a tape measure

• Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide

• Must be able to use industrial sewing equipment

• Must be able to stand, bend, walk, or sit for long periods of time

• Must be able to work as low as on the ground or high up in a lift or on a ladder

• Must be detailed oriented and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Must be able to function as a self-starter with the ability to work independently

• Must be able to comprehend and follow written and or verbal instructions

• Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times

• Must actively listen to and communicate with co-workers

• Must be able to prioritize and follow through to meet deadlines on all projects

• Must be able to embrace change

• Must demonstrate the ability to learn quickly and adapt to a rapidly changing environment

Preferred Skills

• Sewing

• Carpentry

• Working in the digital printing industry

• Trade show experience

• Upholstery

Travel Requirements No travel requirements, although may occasionally be asked to go to customer site
