Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must be over the age of 21, as driving is required. Acceptable driving record is required.

  • Some overnight travel will be required.

  • Provide support as needed to customers, outside sales staff and management.

  • Expediting of sales orders and communicating status of the orders with those involved.

  • Process requests for Requests over $1000.00 need to be coordinated with the appropriate outside salesman.

  • Process customer orders received via fax, phone, e-mail and mail.

  • Become efficient in the use of P21, PHconnect and TourDeForce.

  • Review requests for corrective action from customers and submit reports/results to inside sales manager and quality manager.

  • Utilize good communication skills and present yourself in a professional manner.

  • Maintain a database of action items.

  • Provide price-discounting information for entry in P21.

  • Utilize your time and assets wisely.

  • Actively seek out and suggest ideas for changes that will enhance departmental and/or company effectiveness and profitability.

  • Maintain a positive and professional attitude with customers when faced with unreasonable demands or attitudes. Obtain complete information about customer problems or complaints and ensure that they are resolved in a timely Advise your supervisor of unresolved or ongoing problems with quality of customer service.

  • Process customer returns and requests for credit in accordance with company policy and procedures. Processing of returns should be given the same attention that would be given to new order entry.

  • Comply with all company safety policies and Report all injuries to your supervisor. Report any safety violations, questions or concerns to your supervisor.

  • Keep all promises made to your customers that are within MFCP control.

  • As Seal Products Manager…you do not have to have all the answers, but you should know where to get them.

  • An understanding of basic sealing concepts.

  • Knowledge of our vendors and what products they can supply.

  • Develop relationships with key contacts at our vendors facilities to include QA and Engineering personnel.

  • Fluent in use OF ALL parker Seal Group inPHorm programs.

  • Fluent in the use of DuPont Kalrez Quote and Application programs.

  • Use of an application info sheet to gather details.

Dealings with customer will include:

  • Communicating information to inside sales regarding current and future customer needs

  • Assist sales personnel establish discount structures within specific product lines

  • Face to face customer calls.

  • Promote premier customer service.

  • Establish and maintain close business relationships with production/manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, technicians, etc.

  • Solve customer "engineering" problems and provide solutions, either personally or involving somebody who can.

  • Achieve balanced selling in specified product lines to satisfy numerous vendors

  • Regularly prospect for new account.

Vendor interaction:

  • Understand and implement all SPA's and they are addressed through our operating system in such a way that they are acquired and accounted for properly as well as price consistently. Work with the factory reps, engineers, technicians etc., on a regular basis.

  • Individual will understand that our vendors are just that, they are not employees, nor do they own us. We are a privately held enterprise and understand that "loose lips sink ships" when it comes to nosy vendors.

  • Some information will be available to vendors; other may be "shielded".

  • We appreciate all support and strive for an excellent relationship with all vendors; we also understand we are not in an exclusive position with any of our vendors.

Inventory control:

  • Work diligently with purchasing and inventory management personnel when necessary to address customer inventory-support needs.

  • Report customer slowdowns, stoppages or customer turnover to Fluid Power Product Sales.

  • Review MFCP's pneumatic inventory levels, particularly products that have been placed in our inventory to support a customer or contract.

  • Get all "specials" "signed off" by customer, agreeing that what we are ordering is what the customer wants, and prior to placing any orders for those parts.

Lead follow-up:

  • All internal leads will be followed up depending on their urgency. Those that require immediate attention should get it (really the responsibility of (TM); others should be followed up next time you are scheduled for that A phone to call to let the customer know is necessary if it will be a few days.

  • Our marketing department typically follows all external leads received from our vendors. As they filter to you the notes included will dictate urgency and should be followed up in as similar fashion as above.

  • We ALWAYS respond to leads within 2 weeks and report the findings to the person indicated, whether external or another MFCP employee.

Nonessential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Individuals will be faced with additional duties and responsibilities, which include traveling to off-site locations for training or assisting others on projects, sales calls, or other tasks.

  • Attend required sales meetings, prepared with in-depth knowledge of your territory.

  • Participate in sales blitzes, as needed.

  • Individual must possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as request for quotations; sales report analysis, drawings, catalog data, operating and maintenance instructions and process manuals.

  • Individual must have the ability to speak effectively before The use of slang or foul language is unacceptable when speaking to a customer or anyone on the MFCP staff.

  • A clear demonstration of the ability to speak English is mandatory. Partial or full understanding of Spanish and additional languages is a plus, not mandatory.

  • Individual must have ability to apply common sense reasoning to carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form and the ability to handle challenges that evolve in the daily processing of duties.

Physical Demands and Work Environment: Job requires frequent lifting up to 70 pounds, stooping, reaching above shoulder level, pushing, pulling, constantly walking/standing on cement flooring and climbing ladders as needed. Working conditions involve a fast-paced warehouse environment containing moving equipment, fluctuating temperature and inventory in various storage arrangements. The physical demands and work environment reflected are representative of those encountered by employees when performing the essential job functions. Salary:

$84,000-$100,000/salary, plus commissions
