What you'll do:

Establish system controls by developing framework for controls and levels of access, recommending improvements.
Maintain access by providing information, resources, and technical support.
Ensuring authorized access by investigating improper access, reporting violations, monitoring information requests by new programming, recommending improvements.
Establish computer and terminal physical security by developing standards, policies, and procedures, coordinating with facilities security, recommending improvements.
Safeguard computer files by performing regular backups, developing procedures for source code management and disaster preparedness, recommending improvements.
Develop security awareness by providing orientation, educational programs, and on-going communication.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, participating in professional organizations.
Analyze computer code to search for potential breaches in security.
Investigate suspicious activity on servers and networks to figure out where potential threats are.

What we're looking for:

A student pursuit of their bachelor's degree with 1 year completed in computer science, information technology security, or related area.
Someone who is capable of thinking outside the box to identify how attackers may compromise security.
Be able to work well in small teams to design and plan security systems and monitoring.
Have strong written and oral communication to communicate plans and threats to Security and Risk Lead.
An understanding of or experience with email filtration, backup solutions, DLPs and/or CASB, Cisco ASA and endpoint auditing and monitoring, Office 365 security and compliance, and IDP (ADFS, AAD Connect, or similar).

As a Technical Engineer in the Army National Guard, you will develop the skills necessary to help build, plan, and repair airstrips, docks, barracks, roads, and other projects. Your training will enable you to assume duties that include construction site development, such as technical investigation, surveying, drafting, and the development of construction plans and specifications. Specific duties may include: construction material testing; drawing maps, charts, and making scale drawings of roads, airfields, and buildings; conducting land surveys and computing survey results; preparing structure wiring and plumbing diagrams; building scale models of land areas that show hills, lakes, roads, and buildings; and piecing together aerial photographs to form large photomaps. Job Duties * Draw topographic maps and charts using Computer Aided Drafting systems and software * Conduct geodetic and construction surveys and results utilizing Automated Integrated Survey Instruments and Global Positioning Survey Technology * Provide technical support for vertical and horizontal construction projects Some of the Skills You'll Learn * Aerial photo interpretation * Architectural and structural drawing Helpful Skills * Ability to convert ideas into drawings * Interest in maps and charts * Working with Computer Aided Drafting technology * Interest in algebra, geometry, and trigonometry Through your training, you will develop the skills and experience to enjoy a civilian career with civilian construction, engineering, and architectural firms, as well as government agencies such as a highway department. In the Army National Guard, you will learn these valuable job skills while earning a regular paycheck and qualifying for tuition assistance. Job training for a Technical Engineer consists of 10 weeks of Basic Training, where you'll learn basic Soldiering skills, and 17 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, depending on the specialty. Part of this time is spent in the classroom and part in the field.
