Amazon's Advertising measurement team seeks a Software Development Manager. We are working on pioneering measurement approaches to close the loop and drive efficiency for marketing activities. The team builds quantitative analysis and models to study and optimize the dollar spend on marketing activities.
As the lead software manager engineer for this group you will be responsible for architecting and delivering the second generation of our measurement platform. You will raise the bar on how advertising data is acquired and used for measurement while protecting customer privacy.
What you will own: You will own the data vault technology built to acquire advertising information while protecting consumer privacy. You will also own the components to implement machine learning on data hosted inside the vault.
What you will influence: You will influence the development of applications that drive investments in advertising across media channels for Amazon's Prime, Devices, Retail and Digital Video businesses.
You'll be expected to:
Design and implement systems that acquire data to measure performance of ads
Design and implement the machine learning infrastructure to implement causal inference models to determine the impact of advertising impressions
. Onboard publishing partners on the platform while protecting customer privacy.
Serve as a technical lead on our most demanding, cross-functional projects.
Contribute intellectual property through patent generation.
Functionally decompose complex problems into simple, straight-forward solutions.
Understand system inter-dependencies and limitations as well as analytic inter-dependencies to build efficient solutions.
