NTT DATA Services currently seeks a SDET / Test Automation Engineer to join our team in Plano, Texas (US-TX), United States (US).

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with Development teams to review system requirements and technical design documents

  • Create, design, implement, and maintain automation frameworks and test scripts

  • Work with QA engineer to convert manual tests into automated tests

  • Devise test strategies to adequately cover requirements, develop high-level test scenarios that implement the strategy, and elaborate scenarios into detailed test cases

  • Conduct testing, maintenance, and validation on all software products

  • Perform regression testing and debugging directly Verify code patches and bug fixes

  • Analyze and document test results and create detailed defect reports

  • Be an advocate for help and rethink, and improve shift left strategies

  • Be on top of the latest frameworks and tools

  • Experience with automation frameworks testing Web Apps, Mobile Apps, API's, using frameworks such as: Selenium, Xcode UI tests, and Appium

  • Hands-on experience using source control systems such as GitHub and understand git workflow

  • Strong object-oriented design and coding skills

  • Hands-on experience with cross-browser compatibility testing of web applications

  • Use of compatibility testing services such as browserstack or saucelabs

  • Hands-on experience working with continuous integration tools

  • Proficient in writing comprehensive test plans and experience using a test case management system

  • 2+ years of Python, shell experience

  • Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools

  • Expert knowledge of writing technical documentation/defects and issues

  • Solid knowledge of SQL and how to turn data into meaningful results

  • Experience with Cucumber/Gherkin is a plus

Must Have Skills:

  • Excellent Communication Skills.

  • Very Good exposure to Automated Testing.

  • Hands-on expertise in Automated Test Planning, Design, Execution, Evaluation and Reporting.

Good to Have Skills

  • Very good onsite-offshore coordination skills.

  • Very good client coordination skills.

  • Ability to provide value adds and solutions from QA in a dynamic environment.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2 years' experience as Automation or SDET.

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in computer science, engineering, or related technical field.

Our Exciting Opportunity: * As a test automation engineer, you will be joining a team of architects, engineers and developers who are passionate about leading web technology and Industry Connect, software development and quality assurance * You will also perform in-depth testing of the systems designed and investigate problems in software based on test results, in order to ensure that critical requirements are met * Create reports to management recommending ways to improve the system. * Monitor, develop, recommend strategic decision regarding further test development and preventative actions * Monitor risk management activities and assure ongoing compliance with quality and industry regulatory requirements. * Maintain test automation environments, develop the new ones and maintain existing UI and CI tests * Work together with DevOps engineer maintaining / updating the existing test environments * Educate development teams on product quality related topics, act as quality assistance person, propose test practices to improve automation testing. You Have: * Proven work experience as a Test Automation Engineer for 3 to 5 years. * Bachelor and/or Master degree in software engineering, computer engineering, information technology or relavant field. * Experince designing and writing test and automation scripts for multiple projects based on different technologies * Basic knowledge of .NET, Python, Java, C# or other OOP language * Hands-on experience with Agile development methodology and framework * Experience with design and implement tests, debugging and defining correction actions * Knowledge of automation tools, concepts and methodologies of Automation Testing * Knowledge of web technology and Internet leading technology * Data collection, management and analysis * Working with people and networking * Innovating, adapting and responding to change * Delivery results and meeting customer expectations You might also have: * Proficiency with at least one Selenium-based framework.
