Global Custody is a part of the Securities Services Operations business. Custody Operations in Tampa comprises multiple operational teams that support Citi's Global and Direct Custody businesses. These teams include Client On-Boarding, Asset Servicing, Settlements, Reconciliation and Billing. The focus of the business is on providing exceptional Custody Operations services that allow our clients to effectively manage working capital flows and asset pools while reducing risk exposure. The Global Custody Operations client base includes corporations, financial institutions, and international government agencies that require an organization like Citi that can provide these services across a global footprint.
The Global Custody Income operational team is responsible for working directly with our Custody clients to provide and complete the timely and accurate notification, collection and allocation of dollars earned by a diverse and global client base, across all instruments serviced by the ICG Asset Services Dept. This leadership role will report to the North America Head of Custody Operations and involve full people management responsibility for a team of up to 35, focused on day to day execution of specific Asset Servicing operations functions that support our Custody client base as well as direct responsibility for the client interaction across all of Asset Services. S/he will provide leadership and subject matter expertise to simultaneously manage day-to-day operations, build capacity to take on new business and develop operational and talent strategies with an integrated, consistent and value added approach for our clients that gives us a competitive advantage in the marketplace.
The successful candidate must be equipped to participate as part of the Senior Leadership Team, partnering with like roles in other departments/regions and key internal and external stakeholders to drive the vision and strategy of the business, meeting the ever changing requirements of the external marketplace and ensuring the optimization of the Operational footprint.
Acting as liaison between Institutional Clients and Custody & Issuer Operational groups to ensure that standard to complex cash and securities related transactions are executed in a timely and accurate manner, managing Trade/Cash Operations & Client Relationship Teams. Overall knowledgeable in Securities Custody products, US and Global, and possess expert navigational skills within the product proprietary systems that support the securities funds and services business. Additionally, the focal point for client inquiries related to other custodial functions such as corporate action events, income collection and tax reclaims. Is fully conversant in all aspects of policies and procedures related to the Custody & Issuer businesses.
Managed daily cash/trade transactions for global accounts, USD cash projections for client funds, primary coordinator for traders & PM's. Resolves complex problems where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of basic securities processing procedures and industry standards.
Manage client relationships and demonstrate competence in improving and turning around relationships at risk; seek and create the best possible solutions for clients requiring customized services, greater efficiencies, timeliness and overall quality of services performed. Actively participate with Senior Relationship Management on client conferences and visits.
Act as advocate for clients in product development and continuous process improvement by engaging and collaborating with business partners and harness the span and scope of information to focus on issues and opportunities to deliver differentiated services and solutions.
Demonstrate proven leadership ability in custody products, problem analysis, resolution, and people by interfacing with internal counterparts and business partners to ensure transfer of best service practices
Drive metrics and participate in communication sessions with all constituents, monitoring changes and development improvements and present findings to client via data utilization and in-depth understanding of client's business and what the relationships mean to the organization
Maintain focus on client centricity while managing multiple demands and competing priorities in order to deliver value to client.
Global Clearing USD cash operations Extensive knowledge of Fed/Chip/Swift message types
Demonstrates commitment to Citi's credit and risk processes through day-to-day activities, sharing information related to regulatory changes and advocating process/policy improvements,
Facilitate transactional bookings for Deposits, Loans, Bankers' Acceptance and Onshore Foreign Currency Loan
Responsible for timeliness and accuracy of the securities services activities including recording of corporate actions, reconciling cash and holdings, and pricing of securities.
Leads projects and/or offer solutions at an advanced level, for assigned securities processing area.
Provides guidance and support to junior staff
Serves as analytical and/or procedural expert, representing a unit or team to support securities processing deliverables/initiatives. Manages the processes to set up new hedge funds.
Prepares expense budgets, analyzes expense calculations, and prepares unaudited financial statements.
Determines fund value and allocates values to each investor.
Applies in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the function and overall business.
Applies in-depth knowledge of fund/securities processing activities that support the development of new techniques and streamlining of processes and for the area or function.
Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined securities processing area.
Significant impact in terms of project size, geography, etc. by influencing decisions through advice, counsel and/or facilitating to others in area.
Evaluates moderately complex and variable hedge fund/securities processing issues with substantial potential impact,

Education & Experience:
5-7 years' experience
BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience Desired
Intermediate to senior level experience in a related role client management role.
Demonstrated strong execution capabilities.
Strong communication and diplomacy skill.
