Scrum Master, Sr

Key Role:

Work closely with customer management and staff personnel to provide overall systems integration (SI), Scrum Master support, and strategic direction to a software development team. Provide programmatic as well as technical guidance to the management on their projects, including gathering and vetting requirements for software development efforts, ensuring the requirements are complete, unambiguous and concise, scheduling, agenda preparation and record keeping oversight and management, reviewing project documentation and schedules for milestone briefings, and track project commitments and ensure timely preparation of responses. Facilitate internal and external communication, coordinate weekly meetings with stakeholders, and provide highlights and written documentation of team accomplishments and concerns.

Basic Requirements:

  • Experience in Agile development environment

  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office, MS Project, and SharePoint

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work rapidly in a high tempo environment that often requires multitasking

  • Ability to create, sustain, and enhance fostering of team dynamics and collaboration

  • Ability to collaborate in cross-functional team

  • TS/SCI with a polygraph

  • BA or BS degree and 10 years of experience in a professional environment, or MA or MS degree and 8 years of experience in a professional environment

Additional Requirements:

  • Experience in software development or working in software development organization

  • Experience using and implementing Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

  • Experience with Atlassian JIRA

  • Experience with Windows, Linux, and VMware configuration and development

  • Possession of excellent customer service and teaming skills

  • Certified Scrum Master (CMS) preferred

We are looking for experienced Agile Scrum Masters with both strong Agile Scrum delivery skills and project facilitation experience. They will interface with client personnel and use oral and written communications skills to develop great working relationships with stakeholders including customer Product Owners. This position is responsible for ensuring that all assigned work activities are performed in a timely and cost-effective manner while maintaining the highest quality of performance. The Scrum Master is the authorized interface with project stakeholders including government personnel and customer agency representatives. Responsible for facilitating delivery of customer-defined software development projects; basic responsibilities include: * Serving as Scrum Master for a development or integration scrum team with a focus on guiding the teams toward improving the way they work; facilitating sprint planning, retrospective and demos * Acting as product manager and assisting the product owner and business analyst with managing the product backlog * Removing all obstacles to project team efficiency and effectiveness; reaching out to the larger organizational network for impediment removal; ensuring cross-team coordination * Maintaining relevant metrics that help the team see how they are doing * Partnering to ensure that our ways of working are consistent across teams * Liaising between developers and project stakeholders; fostering quality communication between engineering disciplines * Taking responsibility for managing product releases and dependencies between teams and third parties or between assigned teams and other Scrum teams • Managing and tracking project finances for the respective product family * Supporting development of product roadmaps * Strengthening the presence of the team as an Agile center of excellence.
