Scrum Master (Mobile Development)

Zurich North America is currently hiring a Scrum Master for its mobile app delivery team. This person will work in a hybrid schedule at the Schaumburg North America HQ.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of ZNA's mobile app from inception to completion, ensuring it meets quality, scope, budget, and timeline requirements.

  • Employ project management methodologies such as Agile or Scrum to plan, execute, monitor, and close projects.

  • Facilitate the Scrum process, remove obstacles and ensure that the team follows the Agile principles and practices.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, risk assessments, progress reports, and post-implementation reviews.

  • Ensure the team works collaboratively and efficiently to deliver high-quality products.

  • Work with the Product Developer to prioritize the product backlog.

  • Ensure clear communication and alignment of project objectives.

  • Facilitate regular project meetings to monitor progress, address issues, and coordinate activities across different teams and departments.

  • Advocate for and enforce IT standards and best practices, ensuring that project deliverables are sustainable, scalable, and secure.

  • Collaborate with the IT architecture and strategy teams to align project outcomes with the overall mobile app roadmap and business objectives.

  • Manage project resources, including vendor contracts, to ensure efficient project delivery.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree and 7 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area OR
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and 9 or more years of experience in the Application Design and Development area

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering Mobile apps development projects on time and within budget.

  • Strong leadership skills with experience leading cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.

  • Familiarity with project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Project, JIRA.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to present technical information to non-technical audiences.

  • Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM), or equivalent.

  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as CI/CD pipelines, automation scripts, and configuration management.

  • Advanced problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and drive projects to completion.

  • Familiarity with the IT landscape in specific industries, such as Insurance or healthcare, is a plus.
