Responsible for managing multiple products and ensures the Scrum team(s) adheres to Agile/Scrum best practices, standards, and guidelines. Acts as a facilitator, helping the team maximize performance and increase efficiencies by removing impediments, minimizing distractions, escalating issues, and managing the roster ensuring the team has the proper tools in place (TFS/Jira, others as needed).


Guides the team and organization in effectively employing Agile/Scrum practices and principles to create value and increase customer and stakeholder satisfaction.

Supports and educates the Product Owner, especially with respect to grooming and maintaining the product backlog and planning releases.

Facilitates Scrum meetings: Daily Stand-up, Sprint Planning, Backlog Grooming, Epic and Story Estimation, Sprint Review and Demo, and Retrospective.

Helps the team stay focused by removing obstacles, minimizing distractions, and keeping team meetings concise and efficient.

Clarifies roles and responsibilities and offers motivation and support, as necessary.

Assesses the Scrum maturity of the team and organization and coaches the team to higher levels of maturity, at a pace that is sustainable and comfortable.

Facilitates "self-organization" of the team to accomplish objectives and continuously improve processes.

Creates and maintains information radiators and team tools, to include: sprint board, burn-down charts, burn-up charts, progress dashboards, etc.

Tracks metrics that are important to the team in order to deliver success and continuous improvement.

Identifies product dependencies and facilitates scrum integration.

Performs other duties as assigned.


No formal supervisory responsibilities in this position. May provide informal assistance such as technical guidance, and/or training to coworkers. May coordinate and assign tasks to co-workers within a work unit and/or project.

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in a related field such as math, business, information technology, or computer science, or equivalent work experience. Typically possesses 5 - 7 years of combined business and/or D&T experience within an Agile environment.


Certified Scrum Master (CSM) - Scrum Alliance and Certified Scrum Professional (CSP) certification is preferred.


Ability to comprehend, analyze, and interpret the most complex business documents. Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues.

Ability to write reports, manuals, speeches and articles using distinctive style. Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on complex topics to employees, clients, top management and/or public groups. Ability to motivate and negotiate effectively with key employees, top management, and client groups to take desired action.


Requires in-depth knowledge of financial terms and principles. Ability to calculate complex figures.

Ability to forecast and prepare budgets. Conducts financial/business analysis including the preparation of reports. Develops, manages, and maintains product financial tracking and reporting systems and output.


Ability to solve advanced problems and deal with a variety of options in complex situations. Requires expert level analytical and quantitative skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions for a growing matrix-based multi-industry sales environment. Draws upon the analysis of others and makes recommendations that have a direct impact on the company.


Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.


Decisions made with thorough understanding of procedures, company policies, and business practices to achieve general results and deadlines. Responsible for setting work unit and/or project deadlines. Errors in judgment may cause moderate impact to department or damage to a client engagement.

They must understand the business at a high level and be able to exercise technical aptitude to understand and resolve technical impediments. They must be capable of leading a team to self-organization and push back against the Product Owner. This role facilitates the appropriate scrum events and employs various techniques to foster collaboration and protect the team from outside distractions. They will support the Product Owner to ensure that the product backlog has substantial 'sprint ready' items that tie to the overall product vision. Responsibilities * Inspire the agile product team to embrace the full adoption of scrum practices by coaching the team on the framework and instilling an 'inspect and adapt' mindset * Empower the team to self-organize in pursuit of a better, more fulfilling experience and improved productivity * Generate a common understanding amongst the team of the product vision and strategy * Manage vendor outsourcing engagements and foster accountability for deliverables, timeline, and quality during program / project delivery * Create an environment for the agile product team to thrive by protecting the team from outside distractions and over commitment * Champion ongoing process improvement initiatives to implement best practices for Agile Project Management * Facilitate the appropriate scrum events: Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-Ups, Backlog Refinement, Retrospectives, sprint/release planning, and other Scrum-related meetings * From retrospective, identify tangible growth areas and apply improvements moving forward * Design processes and practices to help the team anticipate and identify impediments while resolving basic team impediments.
