Job Description Overview:
The Scrum Master/Business Analyst will serve as a dedicated team member who has the primary responsibility to support their self-organizing, self-managing team successfully achieve their daily, iteration, and release goals and delivery objectives.

  • Facilitates preparation and leading of agile process events including agile planning, demo/Sprint review and collaborative / design sessions

  • Uses agile estimation techniques to help the team and program estimate features, epics, and user stories

  • Conduct daily stand-up meetings, planning and review sessions, prioritize tasks and mitigate road blocks

  • Strong writing and communication skills required

Job Responsibilities:
The Scrum Master/Business Analyst will serve as a dedicated team member who has the primary responsibility to support their self-organizing, self-managing team successfully achieve their daily, iteration, and release goals and delivery objectives. They do so by effectively applying, implementing and enforcing Scrum principles and practices, facilitating continuous improvement, and identifying and removing team impediments. The Scrum Master/Business Analyst will also help protect the team from outside influences, which could otherwise interfere with the teams ability to deliver value in a short time-box (iteration). The Scrum Master/Business Analyst will mentor the empowered teams and serves as the leadership proxy whose role is to assist the team in its transition to the new method, continuously facilitate a team dynamic intended to maximize performance of the team, and by continuously improving agile practices.

Applies the use of process improvement, reengineering methodologies, and internet-related methodologies and principles to conduct process modernization projects. Responsible for transitioning of existing organizations or project teams in accomplishing the organizations goals or project activities and objectives through improved use of internet and other automated processes. Additionally, support the Product Owner with the documentation of User Stories and Acceptance criteria. Provides group facilitation, interviewing, training, and additional forms of knowledge transfer. Key coordinator between customers and multiple project teams to ensure enterprise-wide integration of reengineering efforts and application of best practice including e-business practices experience.

VIEW JOBS 1/15/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-15T00:00 SBD is seeking a <strong>Scrum Master</strong> to join us at our office in Fairfax, VA.  This position is a hybrid role, combining the roles of Scrum Master and Senior Business Analyst.<br /> <br /> As Scrum Master, a facilitator and leader who upholds Agile values and the Scrum process, encourages the team, and removes impediments to progress. Drive meetings including preplanning, planning (including work estimation), daily scrum, and Review & Retrospective Coordinate with Project Manager, Agile Coach, and Product Owner(s) to help in preparing the overall planning of the project.  Ensure the team is following agile processes in each sprint at user story level as per the Definition of Done (DoD). Identify project risks and raise them proactively. Facilitating discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution.<br /> <br /> As Business Analyst, specify high-level requirements to the Agile team. Collaborate with Scrum team, stakeholders and the customer Product Owner to develop and estimate user stories and establish acceptance criteria.  Ensure clear vision of product in the form of well-defined user stories, prioritizing user stories together with the team and estimating them to create a clear line of sight to the product. Provides exploratory testing and supports user testing within team.<br /> <br /> Operational experience is a must – classroom and theoretical knowledge alone will not suffice.<br /> <br /> <strong>Primary Duties:</strong> <ul> <li style="padding: 0;
