MISSION
RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and Analysis of customer claim/repair data, including trend charting and identification of new issues and risks.
Analysis and Testing of warranty returned Components and Systems, including mechanical and electrical testing of Controlled (Mechatronic) systems.
Clear, concise documentation and reports for all warranty topics and root cause analysis
ACTIVITIES
Participant in the documentation of lessons learned and global read-across of warranty and field issues
Interface with Tier 2 suppliers for root cause analysis of components.
Interface with Plastic Omnium production plants for root cause analysis of PO produced systems.
Interface with other Departments (Development, Quality, Purchasing) as required, supporting complete root cause analysis.
Make recommendations for improvement, to the program team and the extended engineering team, to continuously drive towards lower cost and increased quality
Development of new, efficient analysis methods and techniques

PROFILE REQUIRED
Personal Background
Bachelor of Science in Engineering - Mechanical or Electrical preferred.
Minimum 2 years' related business / automotive experience preferred.
Experience in warranty analysis beneficial.
At ease and effective in a matrix, multicultural and fast evolving environment
Skills and Abilities
Must contribute at a high level in a team environment and work independently.
Proficiency with advanced Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)
Capable of collecting, maintaining, and analyzing data in an organized manner.
Familiarity with Automotive Control Systems Diagnostics (OBD2, etc.)
Familiarity with fundamentals of Controlled Systems Methodologies (control algorithms, closed loop / open look control, controls validation)
Competency in Controlled System Analysis Tools, including Vector Tools (CANalyzer) beneficial.
Travel less than 25% domestic and international (Overnight).
Global customers (US, Canada, Mexico, France, Germany, Poland)
