Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented SCOM/SCCM/Splunk Tool Specialist to join our team in DMV area. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The SCOM/SCCM/Splunk Tools Specialist plays a crucial role in systems operations, deployment and maintenance of SCCM infrastructure, and advanced support and expertise in managing SCCM-related tasks. The SCOM/SCCM/Splunk Tools Specialist provides Splunk performance and tuning for systems and troubleshoots Splunk components across a multitenant, multinetwork environment.

They provide solution engineering support to ensure systems and components meet current and future operations and configuration management standards. This SCOM role monitors various networks, computers, devices, applications, and services in a multitenant enterprise IT environment.

They plan and manage SCCM upgrades, patches, and hotfixes, and package, test, and deploy complex applications using SCCM in compliance with agency requirements and industry best practices.

General responsibilities include: leading and maintaining 24x7 team coverage to support multiple agency domains across the breadth of the contract; balancing operations center and configuration management responsibilities with Splunk specialist leadership to ensure mission accomplishment; using designated SCOM and Service Manager Console to monitor enterprise services and generate tracking tickets as needed; providing support for all enterprise services; troubleshooting and resolving technical hardware and software issues; briefing leadership on the health of systems; supporting accreditation efforts; assisting in providing user support, guidance, troubleshooting, and training; recommending and implementing upgrades, patches, new applications and new equipment; updating/creating/maintaining documentation as needed; assisting in administering and maintaining Splunk servers, clusters, and other critical systems in an enterprise environment; leveraging Splunk to help organizations extract value from server data and enable efficient application management, IT operations management, compliance, and security monitoring; supporting a multitenant operations environment to collect, index, and manage big data; and conducting training for new IIC member and mentoring current IIC members. The SCOM/SCCM/Splunk Tools Specialist supervises and mentors subordinate project and IIC staff. They collaborate and work with other SCOM/SCCM/Splunk Tools Specialists.

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School and 4 years of additional experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of additional experience may be exchanged in lieu of a required Bachelor's degree

  • A candidate holding a relevant Master's degree may be granted 2 years' experience credit for that extra education. A candidate holding a relevant PhD degree may be granted 4 years' experience credit for that extra education.

  • Bachelor's degree with 5 years of position-specific relevant experience. DoD 8570.01-m IAT Level II certification within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order.

    Experience leading system operations and configuration management teams. Working knowledge of SCOM/SCCM/Splunk. Working knowledge of ServiceNow. Working knowledge of Active directory (user account creation, password resetting, Kerberos setup, PKI setup). Ability to set up, configure, and support internal and external networks.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Relevant industry standard certifications such as Splunk.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Must be a US Citizen

  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • The person in this position must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time. Occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, or to communicate with co-workers, management, and customers, via email, phone, and or virtual communication, which may involve delivering presentations.
