We are seeking independent and self motivated scientists to be a part of our dynamic CAR T cell Exhaustion Biology & Engineering Group at Lyell. We are looking for candidates to help establish experimental exhaustion models to interrogate underlying mechanisms driving CAR T cell exhaustion biology. The ideal candidates will bring new ideas to the table around mitigating CAR T cell exhaustion, think outside the box, and take initiative to dive into a fast paced new startup. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with human T cells, setting up in vitro cell-based functional assays as well as experience with in vivo and ex vivo analyses from tumor models. The candidate will collaborate closely with Lyells Protein Engineering, T Cell Engineering and Bioinformatics groups to develop and implement screening and high-volume data analysis. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to carry out independent and cross-functional work within a collaborative research environment, demonstrate creativity and apply critical thinking to help identify the next counter-exhaustion interventions for Lyells CAR T cell pipeline.
