Job Summary
The College of Pharmacy is seeking a Scientist III to work in the lab of Dr. Lindsay Czuba.
The Scientist III will contribute to the design, planning and performance of experiments pertaining to the drug transport and metabolism. This involves isolating and purifying drug metabolizing enzymes, testing substrates and inhibitors of the enzymes, and performing assays related to drug transport function and expression. The responsibilities also include the maintenance of laboratory stocks, equipment, and consumables.
They will also analyze and interpret data generated by self and students under supervision and suggest alternative methods of studying various problems/unknowns. They will prepare data for oral and written presentations/reports for weekly group meetings and national scientific meetings.
The Scientist III will also train new users on instruments, ensure the proper use and functioning of instruments, and ensure good laboratory practice and a safe working environment according to standard. Maintains adequate lab supplies for experimental purposes (ensures that supplies are always available and distribute materials upon receiving of orders).
