Job Summary

A Scientist I position is available in the Department of Molecular & Cellular Biochemistry, University of Kentucky (http://www.mc.uky.edu/biochemistry/). The role will focus on functional and biochemical studies of cancer onset and progression, with key responsibilities including conducting research, writing, laboratory management, and overseeing compliance and safety.

The candidates should have a Masters or PhD in Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related discipline. The successful candidate should have practical experience in biochemical and molecular biological techniques (e.g. PCR, working with cultured cell lines and primary cells, immunoprecipitation, protein expression and purification, microscopy, etc.). A proven history of teaching students in a laboratory environment is also required.
