This position is part of the Flow Cytometry team and reports to the Director of Cytometry. The candidate will support pre-clinical and clinical studies through data analysis, which includes designing gating strategies, executing analyses, preparing data analysis figures and reports, and contributing to the biomarker analysis plan. The role involves collaboration with internal clinical and research teams, as well as Contract Research Organizations (CROs).

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Provide flow cytometry expertise in high parameter data analysis of pre-clinical and translational/biomarker flow cytometry data in support of new and ongoing studies

  • Contribute to the development, validation and execution of study sample analysis for evaluation of biological endpoints in support of preclinical and clinical studies

  • Collaborate with internal scientists as well as external CROs to manage flow cytometry data analysis planning and execution

  • Maintain accurate and timely updates of data to appropriate teams

  • Contribute to the preparation and modification of SOPs as needed

  • Perform all study work in compliance with GLP regulations and maintain all related documentation in accordance with SOPs, Study Protocol, and Analytical Project Plans

  • Responsibility for planning and managing the timelines of assigned projects

  • Review analytical data to ensure accuracy, completeness and consistency

WHO YOU ARE

  • Bachelor's degree with 7 years of experience or Master's degree with 5 years of experience in Immunology or a related field, or a Ph.D. with 2 years of postgraduate experience

  • Proficiency in flow cytometry data analysis software, especially FCS Express and/or FlowJo

  • Experience in developing and troubleshooting high-parameter cytometry assays, preferably on the Aurora platform

  • Experience developing, executing and reporting high parameter flow cytometry data analysis

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced data analysis, interpretation, and graphical presentation skills

Preferred qualifications

  • Experience engaging and working with Contract Research Organizations (CROs)

  • Experience with LIMS and an electronic laboratory notebook

  • Experience utilizing data analytic programs such as Tableau

The estimated base salary for the preferred primary location of the San Francisco Bay area ranges from $110,200-$135,000. Salary ranges for other locations may vary. Base pay offered may vary based on job related knowledge, experience, education, and location. In addition to these factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider internal equity of our current employees as part of any final offer.
