Responsibilities:
Provides strategic and technical leadership to large molecule therapeutic discovery projects.
Utilizes SPR / Biacore / Octet and other methods to accurately characterize antibody-target and other protein-protein interaction affinities
Develops and performs additional assays to identify and investigate novel large-molecule therapeutics.
Independently run studies to precisely characterize and quantify antibody-target and other protein-protein interactions and affinities using SPR (Biacore), Octet, ELISA-based, and other relevant assays
Supports efforts to gain structural and mechanistic insights on novel large molecule therapeutics by independently developing and running novel assays to investigate large molecule interactions, affinities, activities, stability, effects on cellular pathways and biomarkers, etc.
Works collaboratively across a wide range of therapeutic discovery, characterization, selection, and optimization programs to support drug discovery efforts
Provides detailed reports that can be used by teams for candidate selection and regulatory filings
Requirements:
BS with 5+ years, MS with 3+ years or PhD with 0 years of experience in Biophysics, Biochemistry, or a related field
Experience leading antibody:target and protein:protein binding and mechanistic studies is required (e.g. SPR (Biacore), Octet, ELISA).
Experience developing, optimizing, and running protein-protein and cell-based binding and activity assays is desired
Experience generating data / documents suitable for regulatory filings desired
Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other scientists on cross-functional projects teams
Experience working with multiple protein targets, both hands-on and coordinating with CROs and/or academic partners
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Motivated, scientifically driven individual with a creative approach to complex biochemical problem solving
Salary Range: 123,000.00 to 158,000.00 . Compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience.
