Job Title: Scientist I
Job Description
The Scientist I will be working under the supervision of the Pharma QC Lab Supervisor and will be responsible for non-routine method development and validation, routine analysis and testing, equipment calibration and maintenance, and routine product release sample analysis and stability analysis. The role requires troubleshooting complex equipment issues, multi-tasking, and adhering to SOPs. Responsibilities include performing development and analytical validation/verification activities per USP and ICH criteria, validating HPLC, GC and dissolution methods, generating protocols and reports, new equipment validation, completing testing following in-house procedures, suggesting improvements to current testing, organizing and prioritizing testing workload, verifying work performed by other analysts, preparing documents for FDA submissions, conducting routine OOT/OOS investigations, performing trending activity, updating/revising SOPs, and routine laboratory maintenance. Other duties as assigned.

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).
Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Des Moines, Iowa.
Work Environment
The role operates in a typical testing/laboratory environment with a usual noise level. Work hours are from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with flexibility on start time between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM depending on candidate preferences. The team includes a variety of Tech I - Tech III's and is supervised by long-term experienced managers. The position involves lifting up to 35lbs occasionally, stooping, kneeling, crouching, walking, standing for extended periods, performing repetitive motions, and wearing personal safety protection.
