Job Description

A major biopharmaceutical company is seeking a Sr. Scientist to provide critical support within their Method Transfer and Development Group. This site has flexible, multi-product manufacturing capabilities and facilities focused on vaccines intermediates, drug substance, and gene therapy drug substance and drug product. The vaccine manufacturing capabilities center on large-scale microbial fermentation, purification, conjugation, and cell banking. As a Sr. Scientist, you will be working to transfer new methods for vaccine and monoclonal antibody intermediates to the site.

Responsibilities

• Transfer new methods for vaccine and monoclonal antibody intermediates to the site.
• Perform PCR, qPCR, or RT-PCR assays with over 5 years of experience.
• Conduct ELISA and cell-based or plate-based assays.
• Work in a GMP Pharma environment with at least 1+ years of experience.
• Develop and validate PCR methods and assays.
• Support high-profile 'fast track' projects for the site.
• Get trained on other methods not related to the primary project.

Essential Skills

• PCR, qPCR, or RT-PCR experience (5+ years)
• ELISA experience
• Cell-based or plate-based assays experience
• At least 1+ years in a GMP Pharma environment
• Assay development and molecular biology expertise

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with PCR method validation
• Proficiency in assay development

Work Environment

This is a large pharmaceutical manufacturing organization focused on vaccine and gene therapy manufacturing. The project team will consist of 5 people focusing on new drug product intermediates used in the company's cancer drug pipeline. The work schedule is 1st shift, Monday to Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM, with the occasional weekend work, though not likely. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $65.00/hr.
