Key Responsibilities:

• This position in in the RNA, Gene Therapy and Delivery Department offers an exciting opportunity to help develop Client Gene Therapies for unmet medical needs.

• We are investigating the use of Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV) vectors to deliver therapeutic proteins to patients for disease prevention and treatment, especially for ophthalmological, neurological, and Client therapies for infectious disease

• We are seeking a highly motivated scientist to join a group that is engineering recombinant TESSA adenoviral vectors- a new scalable platform for manufacturing AAV therapies.

• The successful scientist will purify and characterize viruses, providing data to advance lead candidates.

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Small-scale adenovirus production in mammalian cell culture and virus purification by AKTA-based IEX chromatography.

• Performing a range of viral titration and QC assays including ddPCR, viral potency measurements, PAGE/ agarose gel electrophoresis, western blotting, DLS/DSF, and ELISA.

• The candidate is expected to work in a team environment as well as contributing individually to meet project timeline and objective.

• BSc with 2-3 years of experience needed.
