Position Summary

Assists in organizing primary data, and writing manuscripts and grants. Performs literature searches for reviews and grant applications. Works with other lab members to develop presentations. Carries out administrative duties as needed.

Job Description

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Organizes and assembles primary data into raw data files.

  • Analyzes raw data to develop figure panels.

  • Writes Figure Legends and Results for manuscripts and assists in developing

Introductions and Discussion sections.

  • Performs literature searches for reviews and grants, organizes literature into outlines, and develops text.

  • Works with lab personnel (students and postdocs) to develop presentations, including posters, slides, and text.

  • Assists with grant reporting.

  • Verifies the correctness and rigor of the primary data submitted and makes

recommendations based on these analyses.

  • Documents research topics and prepares and submits papers for publication or presentation to peers.

  • Manages laboratory protocols and carries out administrative duties as needed.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data and to communicate data in a clear, concise manner.

  • Computer literacy, including the ability to use a variety of software packages to analyze data and generate figures.

  • Ability to work with and mentor lab members.

  • Excellent administrative skills.

  • Experience with research required, clinical research experience..

  • Advanced knowledge of computer applications.

  • Applicant should have significant experience with word processing, spreadsheets, graphics and the applicant must have database and internet experience.

  • Excellent oral and written communication..

  • Applicant must be able to work independently and manage multiple assignments with various levels of priority.

  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.

Required Qualifications

Master's degree in relevant area or applicable equivalent education and experience totaling six years.

Salary Range

$53,100.00 - $90,600.00 / Annually

The salary range reflects base salaries paid for positions in a given job grade across the University. Individual rates within the range will be determined by factors including one's qualifications and performance, equity with others in the department, market rates for positions within the same grade and department budget.
