Job Description:

Atreca seeks an experienced scientific leader to plan, coordinate, and bring analytical insight to the execution of scientific projects, including partnerships with leading organizations in industry and academia. In this position you will ensure the success of complex interdisciplinary projects by coordinating and integrating the contributions of diverse internal and external contributors. You will drive all stages of the study life cycle, from generation of study plans, through execution and interpretation, to analysis and reporting of findings. Your understanding of disease mechanisms, immunology, and data analytics will enable effective study design and scientific decision making. Your organizational and communication skills will enable you to manage projects effectively and foster productive collaborations.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years experience in managing and/or leading life sciences R&D projects
  • a PhD or equivalent experience in biological research
  • an in-depth understanding of molecular and cellular immunology
  • familiarity with immune repertoire data analysis and interpretation
  • a track record of coordinating complex projects involving multiple organizations
  • outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • the ability to work independently and handle multiple concurrent project

Preferred attributes:

  • experience in oncology research
  • statistical data analysis skills in R and/or Python
  • experience in drug discovery and development

Since its launch in 2014, Guardant360 has been used by more than 5,000 oncologists, over 40 biopharmaceutical companies and all 27 of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network centers ABOUT THE ROLE The Clinical Study Coordinator is responsible for the management and monitoring activities which will lead to successful execution of performing high complexity laboratory testing (Next generation DNA sequencing) on patient specimens, performing quality control and quality assurance procedures, and complying with all applicable local, state and federal laboratory requirements. The work requires keeping meticulous and organized records, excellent attention to detail, the ability to multi-task, and to be flexible with tasks and schedules. This individual works under the supervision of the Director of Clinical Operations with activities delegated by the Principal Investigator. Position Duties * Facilitates the coordination and management of clinical studies * Independently identify and troubleshoot high complexity problems which adversely affect clinical studies * Interact with internal groups to evaluate needs, resources, and timelines * Assist with training of new study coordinators * Assist with developing Standard Operating Procedures or supplemental study material * Perform annual review of Standard Operating Procedures * Prepare records for trial monitoring activities and study binder maintenance * Review protocols and procedures for clinical studies and compare with the laboratory's standard operating procedures * Document all corrective actions taken when test systems deviate from the laboratory's established performance specifications for clinical studies * Report all concerns of test quality and/or safety to the Laboratory Supervisor or Safety Officer * Participate in process improvements for lab clinical studies * Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned and assist others as time allows * Bachelor of Arts or Science in Biomedical Laboratory Science, Clinical Science or related field * 2 years' experience in a CLIA, CAP accredited laboratory preferred * 3 years' experience as a clinical research coordinator preferred, ideally in a lab or device setting * Project management experience preferred * SOCRA, ACRP or PMP certification preferred * GCP, GCLP experience required * Working knowledge of local, state, and federal laboratory regulations * Able to integrate and apply feedback in a professional manner * Organized, meticulous and thorough * Able to prioritize and drive to results with a high emphasis on quality * Ability to work as part of a team PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING ENVIRONMENT * Hours and days may vary depending on operational needs * Standing or sitting for long periods of time may be necessary * May be exposed to hazardous materials, blood specimens and instruments with moving parts, heating or freezing elements, and high speed centrifugation (Generally Laboratory and Client Services employees only) * Some lifting (up to 25 pounds) may be necessary * We would like to talk with you about our exciting projects we currently have ongoing.
