Job Summary The primary purpose of this position is to maintain a 2-photon imaging facility within the lab and run functional imaging on fruit flies in collaboration with other lab personnel. Essential Job Duties Running functional imaging experiments on flies using 2-photon microscope (50%). Analyzing data (30%). Training graduate students and post-docs on imaging techniques (15%). Care and maintenance of imaging instruments (5%). Basic Qualifications Graduate degree (M.S. or higher) in Biology or related field, plus 5-8 years of relevant experience in a research laboratory.

Prior experience (2 years or more) performing 2-photon imaging. Basic knowledge of fly genetics. Programming in Python or similar language.

Preferred Qualifications Graduate training in Neurobiology. Knowledge/experience of Biomechanics. Prior experience with analysis of connectomics data in fruit flies.
