A teacher is a credentialed employee who under the direction of the site administrator or his/her designee, conducts in accordance with District policies and regulation, an educational program in a classroom, and elsewhere as assigned, for the purpose of providing an atmosphere wherein learning may take place on the part of students assigned and is responsible to administration for maintaining acceptable behavior of students.

Comments and Other Information

Full time assignment, participates in STRS. Benefits include medical, dental, life insurance and long term disability. Placement on the salary schedule is dependent upon acceptable years of education and teaching experience if the former position is 75% of the school year, you were under contract, the school is WASC accredited, and you are credentialed during your time of employment with that institution.
