JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the direction of the principal, serve as a classroom teacher planning, delivering and assessing instructional lessons aligned with California subject area, grade level content standards.

TEACHING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Engaging and supporting all students in learning.

• Creating and maintaining effective environments for student learning.

• Understanding and organizing subject matter for student learning.

• Planning instruction and designing learning experiences for all students.

• Assessing student learning.

• Developing as a professional educator.

• Establishing and maintaining the support and confidence of the school, district and community.

• Building relationships with students, staff, parents and administration

• Communicating with staff and administration regularly. Sharing plans, projects and information. Participating in grade-level, staff, and planning meetings.

• Collaborating with colleagues, grade-level partners and supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Successful experience working with middle school students. Knowledge of grade-level content and assessments. Ability to use an electronic white board in an instructional setting.
• A valid California single subject teaching credential with CLAD certificate is required.
