Belfry Public School is seeking an innovative and collaborative individual to join our team as a High School Broadfield Science Teacher. This position encompasses teaching responsibilities for grades 7 through 12 and requires a commitment to working with colleagues to promote cross-curricular teaching and learning. Responsibilities:

Develop and implement engaging and differentiated lesson plans for grades 7 through 12, integrating multiple scientific disciplines such as biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science.

Collaborate with colleagues to create interdisciplinary units that emphasize connections between science and other subject areas.

Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel valued and supported in their learning.

Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, including project-based learning, hands-on activities, and technology integration, to meet the diverse needs of students.

Assess student learning through a variety of methods, including formative and summative assessments, and provide timely feedback to students and parents.

Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay current with best practices in science education.

Contribute to the school community through involvement in extracurricular activities, committees, and events.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Education, Science, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Valid teaching certification in Science (Broadfield certification preferred).

Experience teaching science at the high school level, with a demonstrated ability to engage and inspire students.

Strong commitment to collaboration and teamwork.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Willingness to embrace innovative teaching methods and cross-curricular approaches.

Commitment to ongoing professional growth and development.

Salary and Benefits:

Base salary of $36,600 with a competitive salary scale focused on retention. You can bring up to7 years experience
