School/Community Nutrition Supervisors and Specialists provide technical assistance, nutrition education, program monitoring, claims reimbursement, application approval, and outreach and training for statewide school and community nutrition programs that provide financial support to public, private nonprofit, and for-profit schools, child care facilities, residential institutions, youth camps, summer programs, and other organizations.
Incumbents manage programs and budgets; ensure entitlement fund usage is monitored, establish program priorities and allocate staff and related resources; lead outreach to improve and expand participation; collaborate in the development, upgrade and maintenance of web-based applications and systems to ensure the collection of meal and funding data required to complete various reports; discuss or negotiate difficult issues with agencies and elected and appointed officials; respond to all audit and management evaluation inquiries or findings; and supervise School/Community Nutrition Specialists to include performance evaluations, work performance standards, scheduling, work assignment and review, discipline, and training and may supervise other lower level professional and administrative support staff.
This is the supervisory level in the series.
Under the direction of the Food and Nutrition Administrator, the incumbent performs the full range of duties described in the series concept and supervises professional and administrative staff engaged in the provisions of child nutrition and USDA Food.
This position will manage programs in the School Nutrition unit, to include the National School Lunch Program, School Breakfast Program, Special Milk Program, Fresh Fruit and Vegetable grant, etc.
The School/Community Nutrition Supervisor ensures compliance with USDA regulations and program requirements; reviews and oversees grants; oversees applications and claims; establishes program priorities and improvements; grows the programs, and allocates staff and resources for the School Nutrition unit.
This position will assist with budget, forecasting and unit planning; train, supervise and evaluate the performance of professional and administrative staff, including School/Community Nutrition Specialists.
The incumbent will discuss issues with agencies' leadership, elected and appointed officials; provide oversight and development of statewide training initiatives; must remain current with applicable federal and State laws, regulations and certifications, and have a detailed knowledge of School Nutrition programs.

Responsibilities JOB SUMMARYAssists in the administration of the Community & Guest Relations Department in a professional and efficient manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Maintain complete knowledge of, and comply with, all hotel and departmental policies and use of all office equipment. * Assume responsibility for general office and clerical duties within the department. * Handle all incoming calls and relay messages. * Greet all guests and VIP visitors, both in person and via phone, making quality customer service the number one priority. * Ensure daily mail and guest comment cards are collected and properly distributed. * Maintain and update filing systems for both guest recovery letters and donations records. * Prepare and process guest correspondence and donation requests as directed. * Follow up daily with Alert Handlers on all assigned alerts from the guest survey reporting systems to ensure response completion and the achievement of guest satisfaction. * Compile guest survey reports as needed for Managers and Director. * Prepare guest recovery correspondence as requested, responding to guests concerns quickly and efficiently. * Respond to positive feedback from guest surveys on the various survey reporting systems. * Assist in the preparation of donations sponsorship packages and fundraiser event items, providing them with an attractive and professional in appearance. * Coordinate office supply orders and maintenance service and repairs for office equipment. * Maintain strict confidentiality and security of all hotel information, reports, correspondence and files that are proprietary or otherwise designated as confidential. * Learn new software and systems as may be required. * Maintain general knowledge of hotel services, amenities, hours of operation and current special events. * Maintain regular, predictable attendance. * Maintain professional business attire. * Assume other job related duties as assigned. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES * Filing and general office skills. * Strong English grammar, spelling, and communication skills. * Quality organizational skills. * Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information. * Understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures. * Work requires use and knowledge of computer equipment; proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook. * Minimum typing speed of 50 wpm. * Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests. * High school education or equivalent preferred. * Previous office/secretarial experience required.
