TITLE: School Website & Digital Communications Specialist

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• New Jersey Teacher Certification

• Appropriate and relevant experience maintaining a webpage

• Proficiency in writing

REPORTS TO:

Building Principal

Manager of Technology

JOB GOAL:

Ensure stakeholders have up-to-date access to school information by updating the school website with news, events, resources, and information. Disseminate relevant school news through engaging social media posts and timely press releases.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Update the school website at least once per month including the calendar with school events.

• Maintain a visually appealing school webpage.

• Ensure the website is current with an updated banner at the end of each marking period.

• Maintain subpages and ensure all links are active and accurate. Repair any broken links.

• Work with the building principal and staff to obtain student projects and any other relevant information to be highlighted and submitted to newspapers and posted on social media.

• Attend web team meetings and communicate necessary information from the meetings to their building principal and staff.

• Work with the building principal to obtain a proper authorization list for the use of photos on the web page.

EVALUATION: The performance of this job will be evaluated annually in accordance with the NJ State law and the provisions of the Board's policy.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: 12-month position
