School-Based Speech Language Pathology Assistant Position Summary: The position of a Speech Language Pathologist – Assistant provides coordinated speech therapy to patients of all age groups under the supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist.

Attending IEP meetings when appropriate as well as performing clerical and scheduling duties Documenting students' performance, including skill targeted and type/amount of support provided and administering and scoring screenings for the interpretation by the SLP Developing and implementing activities and materials for teaching and practice of skills to address the goals of the student, per the plan developed by the supervising SLP Providing treatment through a variety of service delivery models, which may include teletherapy, in-person therapy, individual, and group therapy Uses effective interpersonal relations and communication skills; facilitates the use of these skills by other team members to achieve desirable outcomes. Demonstrates commitment, professional growth and competency. Promote Agency philosophy and administrative policies to ensure quality of care.

Experience/Requirements: Pediatric focus and/or School-Based experience preferred. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Self-motivated, with strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize time and meet deadlines. Ability to work under pressure.

Ability to maintain confidentiality of data and information. Knowledge of therapy skills as defined as generally accepted standards of practice. Excellent communication – verbal and written, and interpersonal skills.

Responsive to requests. Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto liability insurance. Education/License/Certification:

Bachelor's Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from an accredited institution of higher education .
