NOTICE OF VACANCIES

Position Title: Up to 2.0 School Psychologists

Brief Description: The school psychologist is part of grade level teams, support team, crisis teams, and the CSE. The duties involve team communication, student and family advocacy, counseling, crisis support, as well as administering assessments with children and interpreting those with their families. Ideal candidates will show experience with diverse cultures, anti-racist approaches to the particular work of psychologist, and a commitment to working with the school community in ways that heal and that help us grow.

Location(s):

1.0 FTE at Enfield Elementary

1.0 FTE at DeWitt Middle School

Anticipated Start: March 18, 2024 (or later)

  • The Ithaca City School District is a 1:1 district in grades 3-12. Please provide examples of how you have used or your vision for using digital technology in instruction. Also, please provide evidence of how you stay current with students' digital world.

Required Qualifications:

  • The Ithaca City School District is committed to eliminating race, class, and disability as predictors of academic performance, co-curricular participation, and discipline. Qualified candidates will demonstrate a basic awareness of these commitments and a strong willingness to support these efforts.

  • All candidates must possess (or be working toward) New York State Teacher Certification in School Psychology, or ideally qualify to obtain it by the first date of employment. This requires at least a Bachelor's degree. Licensed teachers from other states may qualify for reciprocity.

Salary Range: $51,241-$73,141 (10-month full-time base), per Bargaining Agreement
