Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer and part time experience. <br><br> You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week. BASIC REQUIREMENT(S): Degree: major or equivalent in psychology for all specializations except clinical psychology and counseling psychology. These two specializations have additional educational requirements, as stated below: <br><br> Clinical psychology: <br><br> For positions at grades GS-11 and above, satisfactory completion of all the requirements for the doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology is required. Counseling psychology: <br><br> For positions at grades GS-9 and above, satisfactory completion of 2 full academic years of graduate study directly related to professional work in counseling psychology, or satisfactory completion in an accredited educational institution of all the requirements for a master's degree directly related to counseling psychology is required. In addition, to the Basic Requirements, you must also meet the Minimum Qualifications stated below- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Your resume must demonstrate at least one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the Federal service obtained in either the private or public sector performing the following type of work and/or tasks: <br><br> Responsible for overall planning, organizing, improving and implementing behavioral, health issues; Providing psychological care and consultation services, to patients while establishing behavioral health standards of care; providing a wide range of psychological testing, evaluation and clinical services; Providing leadership in the development of policies and procedures, related to outpatient mental health services; Experience in the evaluation and treatment of behavioral, emotional, social and mental health issues in children and adolescents; Experience in the identification, evaluation and treatment of child and adolescent sexual abuse victims and evaluation and management of child and adolescent sex offenders consistent with the models put forth by nationally known experts in the field of psychology. GS-13: 1 year equivalent to at least next lower grade level; AND; satisfactory completion of Ph.D or equivalent directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.
