Job Description:
The Department of Special Education is seeking a School Psychologist for the Rosemary Kennedy School. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Organizing parent and staff trainings on relevant topics.
Providing social and emotional learning development and IEP mandated counseling.
Assisting with the development/implementation of Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans.
Participating in crisis interventions and training.
Collaborating with a multidisciplinary group of staff to support student needs.
Conducting parent and district outreach.
Attending annual review meetings and participating in screenings.
Requirements:
New York State Education Department Certification: Certified School Psychologist
New York State Education Department Certification as a School Psychologist.
Experience with Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavioral Assessments as well as working with students with disabilities is preferred.
Salary: As per labor contract.
