Welcome to North Monterey County Unified School District where Together, What we do Matters! We are located along the Central Coast of beautiful Monterey County California. We serve the communities of Aromas, Castroville, Elkhorn, Moss Landing, Prunedale, Royal Oaks, and portions of Salinas. Our District provides educational programs and services for our community from infant to adult which includes our Castro Plaza Family Resource Center and Family Services Center. Our early learning programs support children ages zero to 4 years of age, four elementary schools each serve preschool/TK/K-6th grade (Castroville, Echo Valley, Elkhorn and Prunedale Elementary Schools), our North Monterey County Middle School serves 7/8th grade, our North Monterey County High School serves 9-12th grade, and our Educational Options includes Central Bay Continuation High School (16 years+), a fully accredited TK-12 North Monterey County Center for Independent Studies/Homeschooling/Distance Learning school. We also have a full offering of Career Technical Education pathways for our students and Adult Education programs for our community members and parents. Job Summary

This position serves as a consultant to the school community with regard to understanding and supporting learning and behavior needs with specific plans and recommends appropriate support and remediation for general education and special education children. Assists pupils using various techniques including but not limited to conferencing, observation, psycho-educational assessments, and direct counseling services.

Required: Valid California Credential authorizing an individual to provide service as a school psychologist.

Individuals must include an updated resume, copy of transcripts, copy of credential, letter of interest and 3 letters of recommendation.

We are seeking highly qualified candidates for the positions of full-time school psychologist for the 2024-2025 school year. NMCUSD will accept up to 19 years of prior full-time experience in an accredited public or private school setting, resulting in placement up to year 20 for an initial contract.
