School Psychologist Or Intern

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS If applying as a School Psychologist: • Possess a valid California Pupil Personnel Services Credential with School Psychology authorization; • A Master of Arts Degree from an accredited college or university with an emphasis in educational psychology; • At least one (1) year experience working in schools and background in special education programs; • Possess or obtain upon employment, a valid California Driver License; • Provide proof of automobile insurability; • Meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively, including lifting fifty (50) pounds on an occasional basis and in excess of fifty (50) pounds with assistance. If applying as a School Psychologist Intern: • Must be eligible to apply for an Intern School Psychology credential by meeting the requirements of a Commission on Teacher Credentialing approved program; • Intern eligibility letter from approved university program required; • A background or experience/interest working with emotionally disturbed and/or severely handicapped students; • Possess or obtain upon employment, a valid California Driver License; • Provide proof of automobile insurability; • Meet the physical requirements necessary to perform assigned duties safely and effectively, including lifting fifty (50) pounds on an occasional basis and in excess of fifty (50) pounds with assistance. BENEFITS Employees are provided with an insurance plan, which includes health, vision, and dental insurance for employee, spouse, and dependents, at a shared cost. Participation in this plan is mandatory for employees working 35 plus hours a week. Employee will be a member of the Public Employees' Retirement System (PERS) to which both the employee and MCOE contribute. Employee may elect to be a member of the Mendocino County Federation of School Employees Union. MCOE does not participate in the Social Security system. School Psychologists: $441.43 - $673.59 per day as per Column II on the School Psychologist Salary Schedule. School Psychologist Interns: $430.66 per day as per Range 0 - Intern of Column II on the School Psychologist Salary Schedule.

Length of Work Year

8 hours per day, 5 days per week, 10 months (190 days) per year beginning August 1, 2024, pending successful fingerprint clearance, and submission of a recent tuberculosis test as required by the California Education Code.
