QUALIFICATIONS and PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES
The successful candidate will have the ability to work effectively with students, parents, colleagues, and community members. The psychologist will also administer and analyze standardized evaluation tools to determine eligibility for special education, facilitate the special education process and/or 504 accommodation plan process, run Team meetings, and work directly with students in a counseling capacity.
Experience working with adolescents and families struggling with ASD and complex social/emotional challenges. Other responsibilities include providing functional behavioral assessments and assisting in the development of behavioral plans as needed, conducting safety assessments, interpreting assessment information for staff that has been provided by school districts or parents, and participating in team discussions and recommendations for school programs and services.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are a must. A bachelor's degree and a Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary School Psychologist license are required; a master's degree is preferred.
Salary: Appropriate step and lane on the teachers' salary scale
