Conduct formal and informal assessments of students with a current IEP, students referred for an initial evaluation, and other students who have been identified as having difficulty in progressing effectively through the general education program.
Coordinate with other service providers in order to efficiently complete all initial and reevaluation assessment batteries in a timely manner.
Report on diagnostic psychological, educational, observations and other assessments for initial eligibility, reevaluations and other meetings as determined by the Director of Special Services. Aid in the development of initial and reevaluation IEPs.
Interview students as needed to assess social and emotional needs and to develop appropriate treatment plans, which might include in school counseling services or referral to community based behavioral health organizations.
Collaborate effectively with other direct service providers in the building as well as teachers and school administration. Serve on Student Resource Team and Crisis Team.
Any other duties assigned by the Principal, Special Services Director or the Superintendent-Director.
