Job Description:

• Have knowledge of various testing protocols

• Understand and complete evaluation reports in a timely fashion

• Interpret diagnostic test results to students, parents, teachers and
  administrators

• Consult on IAT (including behavioral interventions) and Crisis
  Prevention/Intervention committees

• Research new and ongoing programs to meet the academic, social and
  emotional needs of students

• Train staff on evaluation processes

• Work independently with school staff and administration

• Provide counseling as requested by supervisor

• Ensure the safety of students

• Administers tests and/or recommends placement for exceptional and new students. Help identify all types of exceptional students within the school environment.

• Consults on needs of students who are receiving special education services. Attends case conferences on placement of individual students.

• Serves as a consult on mental health topics for staff and interprets the school psychological evaluation for teachers and parents.
