Certified School Psychologist
1.0 FTE Continuing
5 Days/Week, Mon-Fri
Reports to: Special Education Director
Summary: School psychologists provide direct support and interventions to students; consult with teachers, families, and other school-employed mental health professionals (i.e., school counselors, school social workers) to improve support strategies; work with school administrators to improve school-wide practices and policies; and collaborate with community providers to coordinate needed services.
Responsibilities:

Manage student and classroom behavior
Monitor student progress
Collect and interpret student and classroom data
Reduce inappropriate referrals to special education
Promote Positive Behavior and Mental Health
Improve students communication and social skills
Assess student emotional and behavioral needs
Provide individual and group counseling
Promote problem solving, anger management, and conflict
resolution
Reinforce positive coping skills and resilience
Promote positive peer relationships and social problem
solving

Qualifications:
Must possess or working to complete an ESA Certificate with School Psychologist endorsement.
Must possess or working to complete a Bachelor's Degree. A Master's Degree or equivalent is preferred.
Must favorably pass the WSP/FBI background check.
Demonstrate mature behavior and ability to use sound judgment in communicating with students, parents, staff, and community.
Demonstrated success by training/experience which recognizes all children as learners.
Preference given to quality current references.
Must submit a complete application packet.
Terms of Employment:
Salary is based upon placement on the salary schedule.
Up to an additional 10 extra paid days.
