JOB GOAL:

Serves as a health services specialist in assisting students and families in attaining and

maintaining an optimum level of wellness while promoting positive health habits and attitudes.

The School nurse practices within NJ law and in alignment with board policies and

administrative guidelines.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• New Jersey Certification in the appropriate subject matter and level.

• Valid state license to practice as a registered nurse.

• Certificate as public school nurse, or any other certificate required by state.

• Two years of experience in public health nursing, preferably in a school district.

• Successful Criminal History Clearance.

• Proof of U.S. Citizenship or appropriate employment authorization.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• New Jersey Instructional Certification in the appropriate subject matter and level.

• 5-8 Science certificate or K-6 certification with advanced coursework in teaching science.

• Minimum of three years of teaching experience

• Strong knowledge of best practices and current research in math instruction and intervention

• Proven experience in fostering student achievement

• Experience using data to track, diagnosis, and remediate student learning in math

• Effective problem-solving, human relations, and communication skills

• Possesses a mindset of ongoing learning, experimentation, innovation, and enthusiasm

• Demonstrates a commitment to professional development

• Successful Criminal History Clearance.
